Prosthetics & Orthotics is one of the allied health team members who provides comprehensive care with preventive, promotive, assistive and rehabilitative interventions. It involves assessment, examination and analysis of patients to formulate appropriate treatment plan including the design, manufacture and fitting of prostheses, orthoses and other rehabilitation aids as part of rehabilitation programs.

Orthotic Services:
An orthosis is an externally applied device used to support or restore the structural and functional characteristics of the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. It helps to correct deformity, support and protect the affected body part, prevent further deformity or injury, improve gait and relieve pain. Examples are braces, splints and supports.
